Monster Island is The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster. Released around the same moment as Godzilla King of Monsters. The movie is about an Island called Monster Island. The island is home to a monster that may be discovered.


As an asylum film, it is roughly as big as a kid's dinner. It uses that budget wisely by focusing on a few human characters while keeping its big stars in one (posted here) place where they can all be captured during lunch. But let's not forget that this film is a kaiju movie and, well, that's kind of how they work. So maybe The Asylum won’t do so terrible with it.
